Please note that not all shore excursions are available on all sailings. Descriptions and pricing may vary.  Shore excursions will not be available for pre-booking until approximately 30 days prior to sailing (with the exception of the Romantic Escapades excursions) and can be added to your booking via the "Manage your trip" online tool. New tours, not previously listed for online sales, may be available onboard without prior notice. If you have questions please contact our Reservation Department at 1 (800) 848-6172 for assistance.

SCUBA Rotui - Certified Divers

On the outer reef of Moorea, this dive is located at mid-distance between Opunohu's and Cook's Bay. Since this site is far away from any murky passes, water here is usually very clear. Lemon Sharks and Blacktip Reef Sharks are often seen during this dive, and it's not rare to also observe big Starry Pufferfish and schools of Paddletail Snappers. Many different overhangs are also part of this wonderful landscape, home to Soldierfish, Squirrelfish and juvenile Angelfish. On top of that, sleeping Hawksbill Turtles can be spotted among coral formations.

Beginning divers are offered another opportunity to dive outside the reef. During this shallow dive not exceeding 40 ft (12 meters), you will discover the beauty of Moorea's coral reef, harboring a wide variety of fish ranging from Paddletail Snappers, Starry Pufferfish to juvenile Angelfish. Most of the time, Rotui will welcome you with its limpid water and easy diving conditions, making this dive perfect for novices. Lemon and Blacktip Reef Sharks are often times seen during this underwater adventure. Many different overhangs are also part of this wonderful landscape, home to Soldierfish and Squirrelfish.

Observe the behavior of sharks in their natural habitat, and discover why their reputation is undeserved during this memorable and educational shark dive.

Depart the marina platform for the brief ride to the dive site. After receiving your safety and diving instructions, you will join your dive master in the crystal-clear water to observe sharks in their natural habitat. The black-tipped sharks that thrive in the area will swim near the surface to welcome you and will likely remain there throughout your dive. You will even learn to distinguish the males from the females. At times, a larger lemon shark might make an appearance. Following your dive, you will be transferred back to the pier.

Depart the marina platform aboard a Zodiac® boat for the ride to the SCUBA Shark Gallery. Upon arrival, your guide will provide you with your safety and diving instructions, then lead you into the water for an exciting and educational shark dive. You will observe the behavior of sharks in their natural habitat and discover why their bad reputation is not deserved. The black-tipped sharks that live here will likely come near the surface to welcome you and be present throughout the dive. At times, a larger lemon shark may make an appearance. Certified divers are invited to experience what lies outside Bora Bora's lagoon during this memorable clear-water dive. Depart the marina platform for the brief transfer to the dive site. After receiving your safety and diving instructions, you will be outfitted with diving equipment and join your guide for a memorable dive over the hard coral floor. As you journey through the coral garden, you may see an abundance of reef fish, impressive Javanese moray eels, black-tip sharks, and one of the largest shark species, lemon sharks. This dive will take place at a maximum depth of 60 feet. Following your dive, you will be transferred back to the marina platform.

Meet your dive instructors at the ship's marina platform and receive your safety briefing before riding the dive boat to the dive site located outside the reef of Opunohu Bay. Upon arrival at the dive site you will be greeted by the black tip reef sharks that you will be able to observe during the whole dive among also some lemon sharks, schools of fish and maybe a nice sea turtle. The maximum depth of this dive will be around 70 feet (20 meters). Following your dive, you will be returned to the marina platform. Approximated duration is 2 hours.

SCUBA The Ledges - Certified Divers

Embrace Moorea's exquisite undersea beauty during this picturesque SCUBA adventure along the ledges of a coral reef.

Depart the marina platform aboard a Zodiac® boat for the ride to the ledges of a coral reef. Resembling fingers on a hand, these narrow points of coral were formed by thousands of years of surging water and extend from the reef for more than 200 feet. The fingers start at a depth of 30 feet and extend to 120 feet or more. The sides and top of each extension are rich in hard coral of various species. Upon arrival, your guide will outfit you with your equipment, provide you with your safety and diving instructions, then lead you into the crystal-clear waters.

Sharks, Javanese moray eels, Sea turtles and multicolored tropical fish abound inside this reef and are constantly moving about in search of food. Also, you can enjoy Hawksbill and green sea turtles resting on the coral formations. However, your dive will take place outside of the reef, where the clearest water and some of Polynesia's finest coral formations can be found. The maximum depth of your dive will not exceed 70 feet (20 meters).

Following your dive, you will be returned to the marina platform.
